A Variety of Cakes

I hate to admit it, but I was so lost without having internet for about 3 weeks.  However, cake goes on!

Today, I am going to add new photos and my up coming schedule.  It's filling very quickly for August and September.  If you need a date, please contact me very quickly.  (Even as I'm blogging, I just added another order to September!) WOW!

How about the schedule first.  Please remember, first come and confirm is the first to get the date.  So, if you are not sure or do not confirm in writing either in an email, Facebook message, or text, you are not on the calender.

Closed Dates:
July 19-24      August 1-6        September 1-4
July 25-31      August 8-14      September 12-18
                    August 15-21     September 24

A few important notes:
*don't forget, school begins again in August (I'm teaching 6th grade again!).
*Also scheduled is another class at the MAC, Edmond during October.
Making and decorating a Spooky House.
*1st week of October, Tulsa Sugar Art Show
  (I plan on entering competition)

If you have time, please pray for me.  It will be getting very busy in my world.

Here are the new Photos I promised!  (I will add them to the pages list so you can find them easier when the post is archived. )

Dum Dum Da Dum (Tune of Here Comes the Bride)

I saw the bride!  She was beautiful and definitely NOT fat and wide!  Jennifer and Josh were married this weekend at the Chesapeake  Boat House.  Everything was amazing, I hope the cake was up to standards.  Black, hot pink, and white were her colors.

You are welcome to leave comments and let me know what you think of the cake (any cake for that matter).

The cake was duplicated from Kicca Cakes.  The bride found the cake by googling: Contemporary Wedding Cakes.  I thought it was a beautiful design and I tried to make it look as close as possible.

Thank you for looking and I'll be posting again when more cakes are finished.

Dr. Seuss Cake!

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish . . .
Oh! and do you know who speaks for the trees?
Did you ever read about Sam?  Sam I am? He does not like Green Eggs and Ham!
What about double trouble with flaming blue hair?
Seriously!  I thought curiosity killed the cat.  Apparently not, it's just in the middle of everything!  We know him as the CAT, The Cat in The Hat!

If you know these things, maybe you are a fan of the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss!

"Dr. Seuss" was a wonderful children's story book writer.  I could only imagine what kind of cake decorator he would have been.  Since he wasn't, many bakers are (Me included!)  This cake was originally designed by a stay at home mom, Kate.  Her cake was the inspiration for my creation.  I made it as close as possible to her design, but added a couple of my own ideas.  I hope you enjoy the cake, smash cake and cake pops!  I certainly enjoyed creating them.

New Photo's Coming Tomorrow!

Thank you to everyone who has placed an order.  This weekends cakes are ready for posting.  However,  It's really  late/early and I've had a very long day.  I want to let those who are diligently checking for this weekends cakes to know to check after lunch tomorrow.  I promise I will get them on the blog.  If you are truly "dying" and must see them right away, they can be seen on face book (Cake Snobs group).

Have a great rest of the morning.  It's time to get some sleep.  Sweet Dreams!

It took me all day!

Whew! Finally!  I have spent all day working on the blog.  I have rearranged the galleries and added more pictures that I know were missing.  I will continue to add photos until I get them all in there.  I hope you are having a great week and I am looking forward to Memorial Day.  I will be making mini cheese cakes for our church this Sunday.  I'm even getting the "grill bug."  I am really in the mood to make a 3D grill cake (again, it's been years!).  Who knows, I may even take pictures of the progress as I go along.  I know it will be fun.  Have a great night! Hope to hear from you soon!

New Exciting news!
I have recently participated in a commercial for the city of Edmond promoting classes and other exciting recreation available at the MAC.  It will be on channel 20, please let me know how it looks if you see it.  I would love to hear what you think!

In June,  at the MAC, I will be teaching a cake class:

How to make a Purse cake

If you are interested in participating, please go to the Edmond Community Centers web page  for more information.  I hope to see you there!

As always, I've been very busy.  School is out and orders continue!  However, I haven't added any new photos, so I think it's time!  There are many different styles and celebrations of cake, cup cakes, and cake pops.  These are orders, I have chosen to share with you and does not include standing cookie orders.  I truly hope you enjoy all you see.

Rapunzel is everywhere!

Yes, I did say everywhere.  That isn't the only thing that is everywhere.  The name Taylor and turning 4 is too.  One month apart I had requests for the Rapunzel tower for two adorable girls, both named Taylor and both turning 4.  The difference...the first Taylor, loves purple and the second Taylor loves pink.  I made the towers with their favorite colors.  The cakes had some differences, so they would not get exactly the same cake.  I hope you enjoy them.

These are the only cakes I'm going to post right now, but will get back asap with more.
